Que Dee Productions was founded in November 2005 by T. Bernard Smith and his wife Chandra Mathews-Smith. They started the business largely because friends enjoyed their music collection so much that they frequently asked them to play music for private parties. The response was so overwhelmingly positive and uplifting, they decided to begin a full service mobile disk jockey business. 

Beginning at an early age, they both were exposed to the commercial side of the entertainment industry. Bernard is an accomplished bass guitar player. He has performed with various rhythm & blues bands and gospel groups throughout Michigan and Ohio. Chandra’s father operated a night club during her childhood and beyond. For many years, Chandra has been a collector of all genres of music. She often talks about growing up and working in her uncle’s record shop and having quick access to all the latest hits. They both have a huge appreciation for the performing arts as well as comedy. Their work experience over the last twenty years has prepared them to be able to perform at a high level. 

Chandra and Bernard are college graduates.Bernard has a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from Oakland University. He has worked in the sales and marketing industry for twenty years. Chandra has a Master of Social Work degree from Michigan State University. She is also a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) in the State of Ohio. Chandra has worked in the social service industry for twenty-two years and is currently the Vice President of New Business Development for a Cincinnati based children and family service agency. They are also GREEK.  Bernard is a member of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity and Chandra is a member of the Delta Sigma Theta soroity.  They both have years of public speaking experience which really sets them apart from other companies currently in the disc jockey entertainment industry.

Que Dee Productions brings a unique and broad perspective musically to their shows. They cater to the customers needs and wishes by personalizing each show. They believe music is personal and emotional. They listen closely to the customer and prepare prior to each show to ensure that they are customizing the show to meet their clients individual needs. Most clients prefer that Que Dee Productions provide Master/Mistress of Ceremony services for their special events to ensure high quality and effective communication.

Music specialties include: Classic Rhythm & Blues, Classic Rock and Classic Blues. They also specialize in playing the latest clean versions of Hip Hop for school events. Que Dee Productions also delivers a dazzling light show for those who want to light it up and dance the night away.
